    What program will my child need in order to join online tutoring sessions?

I use a free video meeting platform called Whereby.  I will email you or your child the link to join the tutoring session and all they have to do is click on the link.  You do NOT have to download any software, subscribe to any programs, or even download a program onto your phone, computer or tablet.  The Whereby video meeting platform is completely free and very easy to use from any device (phone, tablet, laptop, computer) that has access to the internet.  Many other tutors I know use this platform and prefer it better than Zoom or Skype.  

   When do I pay for my child's tutoring session?

After we set up our first Meet-N-Greet 15-minute video conference to discuss your child's needs, you can select a package (click here to see the different packages).  Payments for a package or individual tutoring sessions will be collected up front before tutoring sessions begin.  Don't worry if you have to cancel or switch a tutoring session.  We will work together to reschedule a different day and time.  

How do I pay for tutoring sessions?

When you choose a package or individual tutoring sessions, you will be emailed an invoice for the number of tutoring sessions you purchased.  There will be a "Click here to pay" button where you can easily pay online using a credit card, PayPal or Stipe.  Also, if you would like to see your child's current tutoring balance, you can login to your child's portal on my website where you can view current invoices, see your appointment calendar, and even access additional resources I uploaded for your child.  

What is your cancellation policy?

You may cancel your class up to 24 hours before the class begins and you will receive a credit to reschedule at a later date. You can cancel by phone or email.  Credit must be used within 90 days. 

***However, no-shows or a less than 24-hour notice will be charged $30/hour per missed appointment.

How can I view my child's tutoring appointments?

Once you have registered for your child's tutoring sessions, you will have access to the student portal.  Using your email and a password of your choice, you can easily login to your child's portal and access a calendar which displays all the dates and times of your child's upcoming tutoring sessions.  Click here to log into your child's portal.  

How will you communicate with the parents about how my child is performing?

For every tutoring session with a student, I will record what we covered in the session, your child's strengths and challenges, and the progress they are making and email these notes to the parent after each tutoring session along with uploading the notes into your child's portal.  Also, if your child needs additional resources (flashcards, practice worksheets, PowerPoint presentations, etc.), I will upload the additional resources into your child's portal.  Parents and students can easily access the portal on my website.  Click here to log into your child's portal.  

What is the student/parent portal?

Once a student/parent has registered for tutoring sessions, both parents and students can easily access the student portal on my website at any time by simply entering your email and a password that you choose.  On the student portal, you can view a calendar that shows your child's upcoming tutoring sessions, balance of money owed, view tutoring session notes for each completed tutoring session, and access any extra files the tutor has shared with your child such as practice worksheets, PowerPoints, flashcards, etc.  Click here to log into your child's portal.
