Adventures in Acting: Storytime Edition is a four-day K–1 summer program that brings early reading to life through playful performance and Readers Theater.

 

In this engaging, one hour per day experience, students build oral language, early reading fluency, listening skills, and confidence as they practice reading simple scripts together like real actors without the pressure of memorizing lines. Through echo reading, voice expression activities, light movement, and a final friendly performance, children strengthen their ability to track print, read with expression, and cooperate as a team.

 

By the end of the week, students proudly perform their story, celebrating growth in confidence, bravery, and joyful reading.
