Jaclyn Veloce

I absolutely love teaching. At my core, my true passion is helping children learn, grow, and believe in themselves. I am deeply committed to supporting students in reaching academic success while building healthy, positive relationships with them and having a little fun along the way.

I am a former middle school science teacher with 25 years of experience in public schools in both New Jersey and Florida. During my time in traditional classrooms, I saw firsthand that while many students can succeed, far too many struggle simply because they do not receive the personalized attention they need. Over time, it became clear to me that children thrive when instruction is tailored to their individual strengths, challenges, pace, and learning style.

As a certified educator, I chose to take my career in a new direction by focusing on tutoring and small group learning for students who need extra support, academic enrichment, or a more personalized approach to education. I specialize in identifying each student’s unique needs and creating clear, attainable goals that build confidence and measurable progress.

Academic Oasis was created from this belief that education should be intentional, flexible, and child centered. My mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and emotionally intelligent environment where students feel valued, parents feel heard, and learning is truly personalized. I look forward to helping as many students as possible achieve academic success, grow in confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
