Math in the Mix: Cool Cooking Creations is a four-day hands on summer program for students in grades 2–6 that combines real world math with engaging, no bake culinary challenges.

In this one hour per day experience, students apply fractions, measurement, weight, sequencing, estimation, geometry, and problem solving skills as they prepare creative recipes while analyzing nutrition labels, comparing quantities, and observing physical changes. Older students are challenged to think critically about proportions, conversions, and mathematical reasoning while working collaboratively in small groups.

The week culminates in a final edible creation and celebration where students reflect on how precision, teamwork, and mathematical thinking helped them successfully bring each recipe to life.
